So easy August 25, 2008 Really easy to assemble and use, within two weeks our 60 by 12 foot lawn is much better than it was with a Flymo, and no electric leads or noise. Only negative is the need to go round the edge first to remove stray bark chips to stop the blades jamming. When get down to lowest level of adjustment there will probably be no need to use the grass box

Those of us who already knew that manual lawnmowers have certain tremendous advantages over powered lawnmowers will find that this product is very flimsy and not at all in line with Qualcast's reputation. Mine broke irreparably within seconds.
Fortunately, the Amazon Marketplace vendor had it collected and gave a full refund very promptly. Unfortunately, I cannot give a no-star rating.
Simple and efficient August 15, 2008 I have gone back to this manual after a lot of breakdowns with electrics. Why I didn't stick with manuals I can't imagine although this is much better than a previous one I had which was not a Qualcast. It cuts better than my 3 previous different types of electric mowers. It goes further into the edges - okay some bits of grass escape the box but this does no harm at all. We had no trouble at all in assembling the handle and the grass box has never come off. It is light and easy to use and I am very satisfied with it.
Good Mower August 13, 2008 I was suprised how well this mower works. It gives a very short clean cut and is less cumbersome than an electric mower.
The grass box does have a tendancy to fall off if the screws attaching the mounting come loose. The best thing to do is to glue all the screws closed.
My only complaint is that my mower came 2 nuts short, not a major problem but still i had to spend 20 mins looking round my garage for some suitable nuts and bolts.
Excellent mower, can't do better for the money July 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this mower to replace a hover mower which went up in smoke after 10 cuts, although I was offered a repair I opted to go for the traditional method of grass cutting and have no regrets the cut is better and it has far more options of height adjustments than the previously owned product, very easy to operate, the trick of getting the grass always on the box is to keep going forward, the grass that misses the box will be picked up by the mower and the rear cylinder as you move it forward, it does take time to get used to but it is quite handy.
